ODE Asset Management Ltd (ODE) is in the process of being nominated as Ship Manager for an FPSO which has recently been acquired by an independent upstream company. This project is scheduled to commence in mid to late June 2022.
In order to support this project, ODE is looking for a lay-up crew of 10 to maintain the FPSO while alongside at the Nigg Energy Park. Lay-up will be for approximately 12 months prior to entering the project phase of a North Sea field development.
The lay-up crew will be employed as ODE staff, on a full-time, permanent basis. The crew will be required to live onboard the FPSO on a 2 x 2 rotation.
The positions available are as follows Upstream Company
1. OIM / Supervisor x 2
2. Mechanical Technician x 2
3. Instrument Technician x 2
4. Electrical Technician x 2
5. Deck crew / crane driver x 2
The core team will also be supported by a cook / steward from a catering company.
The primary function of the lay-up crew is:
•To maintain the FPSO in a warm stack condition
•To support pre FEED surveys and Engineering assessments, by the FPSO owner and 3rd party vendors
•To provide Operations input to the FEED studies for the development
•To support the FPSO upgrade project through construction, installation and commissioning.
This is an ideal opportunity to become part of the initial team which will have the opportunity to form the core Offshore Operations team for the FPSO when it goes offshore.
